Tahmina Tea turns 7 this week, and every year, we celebrate with a sale and campaign that highlights stories of courage. This year’s theme is courageous livelihoods.
Every day around the world, no matter the country, language, or belief system, most of us wake up, go to work or school, and at the end of the day come home to our families. And while that routine can seem mundane, we are all building our lives through the work of our hands.
Did you know that 80% of saffron’s labor process employs women in Afghanistan? This week, we’ll be highlighting some of the women and farmers that we work with and their stories. They have built their livelihoods through war and poverty, driven by two things: the hope that tomorrow can be better for their families, and the courage to build that future.
